I painted this piece, based on a previous work, because the shape calls me back each time.
The female is naked and vulnerable and curled into an almost fetal position, almost protectively, is she fearful of being hurt or merely sleeping ? I will let the viewer decide.
Your brush work is becoming brighter and brighter; your painting could be an ornament of any art lover's wall, at home or at office.

I find the shape of her folded-up body very interesting from the angle of view you have chosen---
ReplyDeleteI have been drawing the folds in my pillows and pouring paint off and on for a few years now--lots this summer--so we have similar interests in some respects....I enjoyed visiting your blog...
