My days, my hopes, my fears I shared.
Held you as 'dear' within my heart - like a treasure - a precious trusted friend..
Loved you more than I could say...... or should I have said ...?
Then - a brief note from you - and now - you cut me dead - no words -
The gap between us widens and I grieve for my lost friend ...
I reached out, you moved away and now it hurts too much so I will reach no more.
